A life between two cultures on canvas

Mario Corinthios is an Italian artist who has lived in Turkey a good portion of his life. Though he has returned to his hometown Rome to work, he still maintains his ties with Turkey, which he calls his 'second home'

town Rome, he came to Istanbul for the opening of his exhibition "Omaggio al   Rinascimento" ("Homage to Renaissance") at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) Art Gallery. The exhibition runs through Oct. 31. "I am very interested in the destiny of humankind. I believe we are all the same and we are heading to a common destiny. There are no differences of race and religion between us in terms of where we are going. We are only human. We will be all the same once life ends," says Corinthios.
